Preliminary results. I went back and checked every account setting, and
I found that I was downloading all iMAP mail, and since gmail stores
SPAM for 30 days and stores trash forever, the All MAIL folder was huge.
So far I have not experienced a freeze, so I am assuming that the
apparent freeze condition was of my own making by not reviewing my
settings.
