You make this  and 1.  ;-)

I am happy that you had such good fortune. So can i think that you either
had previous experience? Or did the research that I mentioned?

I did not mean to imply that there are no problems. In any way. Some
people do have no problems. Some do have some problems. Some do have major
problems.

But I still think that someone who is going to install an OS should have
some idea of what they are going to do *before* they do it. A problem
should *not* be a surprise but an expected to be a problem. And the
solutions, if they do exist, should have already been prepared for or
dealt with.

There are some very helpful people on this list. Unfortunately their help
often times get buried under babbling list traffic. IMHO.
