as a suggestion and you are using firefox to get on internet, try
installing 'user agent switcher';

  https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59/

 "The User Agent Switcher extension adds a menu and a toolbar button
  to switch the user agent of the browser."

this allows you to change firefox's id to that of 'ms ie' and several
other browsers.

there are some sites that do not play well with a browser that id's
as firefox.

plus, there are some ms based sites that are written to not play at
all with a firefox browser.
