Platform: Fedora 7 as "guest" OS on VMware 6.00 on Windows XP host, 256 MB RAM (1GB RAM on host, 256 MB allocated to guest OS, also tried it with 512 MB allocated to guest with same result) (this has all been rock solid with FC6)
Disable rhgb next time you boot so that you can see what processes are getting loaded. That message occurs when the VMware drivers gets loaded.
