Hey Brian,
i have been testing it on :
- Toshiba Laptop Satellite 2805-S401 (P III , 256 RAM)
- Desktop Dell Optiplex GX110 (P III, 128 RAM)
Both worked absolutely fine out of the box with installation of FC1.

As far as the kernel goes, I always build a custom kernel that
matches my
system. I would get a copy of 2.6.10 and build a kernel that matches
your
system. I've not experienced any problems with the USB subsystem.
I haven't had any problems with OpenOffice. It's up to 1.1.13 at this
time and it could fix a potential memory leak.

Hey guys,
I have to post it.
I have been using RH from RH 7.0
And was pretty happy with.
Then moved on to FC1 then FC2.... and now FC3.
I hate to admit it but FC3 is really broken in general.
I do not want to start a new flame thread but here is a several items i
can assume lot's of them has to do with kernel 2.6:
- usb drivers - not stable
- network - same
- some applications compiled on the system - crashes
- certain kernel updates - make system not bootable
- Open Office tend to load memory to the point that machine need
to be
rebooted
and list grows on a daily basis which is really reminds me a
windowZ
and nothing close what it was in FC1 on the same hardware for example.
I understand that this is probably inappropriate post, but i have been
in pain since I moved to FC3.
Does any one else experience as many problems as i do?
Sincerely,
Kiryl

Kiryl,
Could you add a short rundown of the hardware you are running? i've
been a RH user on and off since 6.2 and wow, FC3 has jacked my box up
so much, i downloaded Debian stable last night for a testing install.
Anyway, if your hardware is similar to mine and some others, i may
just wait it out. i like Fedora - don't really want to switch at all.
