It's true, setting up an ADSL modem under Linux are pure pains. I did not manage to get my Alacatel Speedtouch to work, altought there is plenty of documentation lying around in the web about that topic. So, as long as your not somhow sadistic minded, keep you fingers away from those modems and buy an ethernet modem, which will simply just work. Regards, Christoph
