I want to do it in such a way that, if it all goes wrong, I can easily get back to a working config with OSS. Apart from backing up /etc/modules.conf, what else do I need to back up? Also, will kudzu keep trying to modprobe emu10k every boot? What do I need to do to make sure the emu10k module is not probed by any software? Will anything in Gnome need reconfiguring? Apart from e.g. changing the xmms output module from OSS to ALSA, what other obvious specific changes will I need to make? I going to go googling for answers (and the ALSA project page) but if anyone has any quick advice, it's appreciated. Thanks, - Keith
