I had this exact same problem with OSS in every frickin' kernel with my SBLive Value card. The driver is the same. I also had/have this problem with every kernel except 2.6/ALSA with a different sound card (Via 82xx driver). I had since removed the em10k1 SB Live card. My suggestion to you is to install ALSA and see if this routing issue goes away. OSS doesn't properly function with some cards no matter what you do. I was as you can properly assume, never able to get OSS and any kernel version to properly function with either card. Alex
