Richard, I wrote to the maintainer (James) and received the following reply: "Thanks for the email. It's regrettably been unmaintained for awhile. I'm due for a re-write now that I actually have some better python experience. Please feel free to email me the changes you have made, and I will see if they will fit into my new model. I'm due to rebuild my dev box to fedora 13 this week, and I'd like to get a new release going. I'm not sure if the new release will work in rhel 5 due to it's old python version, but I'll see if I can get away with not using any special python 2.6 stuff."
