If the ethernet is not showing up as eth0, it could be the system
has still memory of the old NIC; try to have a look at HWADDR in

  /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

and the naming rules in

  /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
