Common sense, please. It sounds like a grave bug. Even if you deal with
"all of the hidden files", the file dialogue (or one of the components it
depends on) must not crash. Try to ensure that none of your installed

Could it be that some updates to gtk stuff have come through, but you
have yet to reboot ?
Are we talking about Linux or Windows? What in GTK would require a
reboot? I thought GTK was related to graphics, not the base OS.
Just trying to learn.
