There's that, yes. I know nothing of Australian legislation but it ought
to be against the law to radiate radio interference. The only similar
cases here in Finland that I know of have been relatively low-voltage (2
kV) power lines that the local power company was only too pleased to
fix. Both insulators were in the urban area, though.

It doesn't sound promising, I'll admit. Any chance of raising public
uproar about it? You don't live in the outback, do you?
