What does that mean? ("ran all the drivers")

You installed F8 successfully, then bootet the first time.

Have you tried  "system-config-display --reconfig" yet?

This only adds to the confusion. It is more interesting what you get on an
up-to-date Fedora 8 with system-config-display and no added 3rd party
packages that might mess up the installation and configuration.

Don't use -v when you cut off the verbose output.
The ATI Radeon 9200 series is pretty normal and widespread.
xorg-x11-drv-ati is correct for those cards.
