I have a i386 box that I'm installing F8 from F5 that had a "radeon" driver for a ATI video card that work great on F5,

I would greatly appreicate that if you give a answer that it is because you have tryed this on your computer.

xorg-x11-drv-radeonhd description says:
X.org X11 radeonhd driver for AMD GPG r5xx/r6xx Chipsets.

Does that match yours?

If xorg-x11-drv-ati was the right driver for you with F5, then why
don't you use it with F8, too? Why don't you rely on system-config-display
to choose the right driver?

FWIW, I use an ATI/Radeon graphics adapter together with the
xorg-x11-drv-ati radeon driver.

I have got a ATI Radeon 9200SE RV280 adapter.
I have ran all the drivers for the ATI cards but when it tryies to startx the card goes totally out of sink.
I even installed the kmod-fglrx and setup xorg.conf.
Then I run 'fglrx' Iget a error in Xorg.0.log saying:
"(ww) fglrx: No matching Device Section for Instance (Bus ID PCI:1:0:1 found)"
(EE) No Device detected.

This card worked fine in this computer when Fedora 5 was installed, I have a Nvidia card that works fine in this box, 'nv' driver.
I guess I'll just have to order me a new Nvidia card for Fedora 8.

I did a lspci -v and comes up as:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller : ATI Radeon 9200SE RV280
01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Radeon 9200SE RV280

Why would it show it as two different devices ??
