Prices are in AUD (Australian Dollars), but this might give you an idea.

I recently had a client with a dead drive, and recommended a local
recovery specialist for them - the recovery ended up costing around $700,
if I recall correctly.  The specialist's pricing was:

  Inspection fee for 3.5" Drive: $150
  Mechanical and Electronic problems: $500 - $1200
