How do I troubleshoot this failure
I put in a new Ethernet card and this is the result.

[david@reddwarf ~]$ sudo service network restart
Shutting down interface eth0: [ OK ]
Shutting down interface eth1: [ OK ]
Shutting down loopback interface: [ OK ]
Disabling IPv4 packet forwarding: net.ipv4.ip_forward = 0
                                                           [ OK ]
SIOCGIFFLAGS: No such device
Bringing up loopback interface: [ OK ]
Bringing up interface eth0:
Determining IP information for eth0... done.
                                                           [ OK ]
Bringing up interface eth1:
Determining IP information for eth1... failed.
                                                           [FAILED]

More information about your network would help. Is there a DHCP
server on the network eth1 is connected to? Also, is the cable
plugged in all the way on the card? I know it is a dumb question,
but it happens, so it pays to double check.

Also, are you replacing a card, or adding a card? If you are
replacing a card, you may have a line in ifcfg-eth1 that looks
something like "HWADDR=00:02:A5:F4:91:5E". If so, you will need to
remove it, or change it to match the new card. (Long shot - you
should not get to the Determining IP stage if it does not match.)

Excuse my ignorance but how do I obtain my hardware address for Eth1.
Apparently I have Dhcp on my box,the cable is OK and it was a replacement card.

Thanks david
