Community != democracy. Fedora in particular is more of a meritocratic
system.
What does that mean in terms of equivalent systems like desktop
environments? Does something 'invented here' automatically assume more
merit than someone else's project? Or does the guy doing the work of
editing the file get his choice regardless of the effect on end users?
