Given this, I have one suggestion that would only take you a few minutes to try. Download/install wifi-radar from extras, and give it a try. I've had excellent success with that app, and it's amazingly easy to install. It runs in user-space and when you start it up it immediately finds all available wireless networks. It's got simple configuration GUI's for setting up ssid and keys and such - on my laptop which has rejected many other approaches, including using other distros, I've had excellent results using ndis-wrapper and now the new bcm43xx drivers and wifi-radar. -- Claude Jones Brunswick, MD, USA
