But worse than this is that it still happens sometimes when the computer is booted, even with the new initscripts. It seems that if I use the notebook in a place where there's no wireless network available, the NIC is shown as __tmp1804289383 the next time I boot it in a place where there is a wireless network I can connect. Then I restart the computer and it shows up as eth1 again and works. I little inconvenient, though. []'s Marcelo
