I assume you're talking about having problems with Software RAID in FC6?

Yes. I wish I could get to the point of 'having problems' with Software
Raid. I can't seem to get anaconda to _not see_ the fake raid device
and just pretend /dev/sda and /dev/sdb are just disk.

On a related note, _if_ I do try to use the fake raid devices, i.e.
configure the drives for RAID 1 in the BIOS and use the /dev/mapper
device, the installer will fail after creating the file systems with
some kind of lvm error:

Sean

any reason why you're using logical volume management?
Have you booted up in rescue mode, what does "dmraid -s -g" say about the RAID containers and subsets?

LVM is setup by default as far as I can tell. I wouldn't have used it
at all except I wanted to change as little as possible from the default
install as I seem to be running into a problem.

dmraid shows no raidsets at all.

dmraid -d -g
No RAID disks

Sean

That was "S" "G", dmraid -s -g

Hmm, still no RAID sets... okay. I can suggest you try no LVM and see what "custom layout" says
