The suggestion made earlier to backup data certainly is warranted.  If
you google "Additional sense: Unrecovered read error" you'll find a
number of postings.  One indicated that the drive worked fine in
Windows, but not Linux.  I'd try booting with a Linux live CD and
mounting the drive rw to see how it behaves in that environment.  But
before all else I'd backup.
