I had a drive that appeared to work in Windows (there were no drive error types of messages), but didn't in Linux (there were numerous error messages from the first moment I tried Linux on it). Replacing that drive on the Windows box stop a variety of errors on Windows that could never be pinned down to a specific cause. I'm more inclined to believe that you wouldn't know about drive errors on Windows, specifically. Rather than a drive would actually not have any errors with Windows, but did with Linux. -- (Currently testing FC5, but still running FC4, if that's important.)
