I agree, but in fact it installs great heaping boatloads of programs, not just libraries. For instance I got both a 32bit and a 64bit KDE (not just KDE devel packages, but all the KDE programs and stuff as well). That's the part I don't understand, why so many i386 packages that have zero relevance to libraries or development?
