You definitely *don't* need Vonage. They are a walled garden ... something the Internet needs less of. Gizmo provides a softphone but they are also a SIP provider that works with many SIP adapters. You should check their website and forums as to what info you have to plug in to your particular SIP adapter to make it work. There are other free SIP providers too like Free World Dialup. /Mike
