I yum updated as soon as I installed the packages. Right now I'm focusing on getting mail() working. I'll work on the mysql 'problem' after I fix the mail() function (or implement a different mail function as suggested in the comments on php.net). I do not want to disable SElinux, for obvious reasons. I do not believe that if something is difficult, then you should ignore it. I want the security that SElinux provides. Paul's two commands returned to me the expected output, so I understand that DNS is functioning. Googleing for selinux+sendmail+php left me with a Red Hat archive that stated that a February update to SElinux policy made FC3, SElinux, php and sendmail play nice. But that does not provide a solution to this FC4 problem. Dotan Cohen http://lyricslist.com/lyrics/artist_albums/118/chumbawamba.php Chumbawamba Song Lyrics
