The latest NVidia GLX 7167 FC3 RPMs from Livna come only for i586 architecture. Previously, the driver was available for both i586 and i686. I'm able to install the i586 RPM (along with the kernel-module-nvidia driver RPM of the same version) but it is incompatible with the i686 kernel I'm running. Error message from 'startx': Error: API mismatch: the NVIDIA kernel module is version 7.1.0, but this X module is version 1.0.7167. Please be sure that your kernel module and all NVIDIA driver files have the same driver version. (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module! Fatal server error: no screens found # rpm -qa|grep nvidia kernel-module-nvidia-2.6.10-1.770_FC3-1.0.7167-0.lvn.2.3 nvidia-glx-1.0.7167-0.lvn.2.3 # ls *nvidia*.rpm kernel-module-nvidia-2.6.10-1.770_FC3-1.0.7167-0.lvn.2.3.i586.rpm nvidia-glx-1.0.7167-0.lvn.2.3.i586.rpm Is there a reason Livna is not supplying the i686 RPM? I haven't noticed any mention of this in recent posts. Should this be entered as a bug? I've come to rely on Livna for hassle-free NVidia driver support and I'm not interested in recompiling NVidia's incremental driver updates. Please advise.
