whats funny is I created a repo for fedora extras, ran yum install mail-notification. Yum pulled in the required libs for me to be able to use the app. Great So I went again and tried to build my own, It still barked at me about eel Go figure!!!
This is expected behaviour. You need the -devel packages to build the package, but you don't need them to run it.
