Hi again,

FYI, those letters didn't help, because they didn't reach the answer at the end. There are some solutions but they didn't work for me either. Also, I don't think my router is a DNS server too. It is just a DHCP server and not DNS. So, the case is still open for any help...

Do you have "DHCP_HOSTNAME=yourhostname" in your /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file? This communicates the hostname that you wish to use to the DCHP server.

You will need to restart networking after making the change.

Cheers, Ben

As I said my DHCP server is my router and yes, I have checked /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file and DHCP_HOSTNAME is the name of my FC server, not my DHCP server and it is:

DHCP_HOSTNAME=myfcserver

Is it OK ?

Thanks,

Danesh
