If I have pcmcia cards inserted - I have to do an 'cardctl eject' -
before suspending. This has been true for ever (since rhl7 days)

BTW: My expericene with FC3 is the following.

TP 600E: 
 APM suspend/resume works reliably
TP T40:
 APM suspend resume works reasonably well (except for the above bugzilla)
 ACPI suspend/resume also works - however 'battery' discharges much faster than APM.

Haven't tried APM-hybernation/ACPI-suspend-to-disk.
