Thanks Dan,
It's a miracle I found your response between all the freakin posts about html......

For me,

chkconfig --add vmware

worked. Looks like they forgot to add a link to rc0.d when they did
the initscripts.

I have it narrowed down to where it does not start on boot but will
restart ok. The haldaemon service starts after vmware service starts. Do
you think it might be a timing issue?

I did run the suggestions as posted on FC3 release notes. I am running
VMware Workstation 4.5.2-8848 rpm.

Hello all,
Has anyone else experienced a problem on FC3 running vmware and then a
problem with haldaemon? If I run vmware, then try to reboot the
machine, it
badly hangs trying to kill the network settings for vmware. If I
restart the
haldaemon prior to rebooting, I can the reboot/shutdown/restart OK.
Any clues?
Nothing shows in the logs either. Thanks

There is some text in the FC3 release notes on configuring vmware
inside FC3.
Have you tried that out?

Also - you didn't mention the version of Vmware you have.
