According to the RPM man page: M Mode differs (includes permissions and file type) G Group ownership differs Something or someone has definitely been messing with things they shouldn't have. This would explain the error saying that userhelper wasn't suid. I suggest you try to track down what has happened to cause these changes. If not, you may have an unwanted user changing things for you. -- William Hooper
