kernel 2.6.7 and 2.6.6 dont work for me either...... cdrecord now
works since i edited the cdrecord.conf with the correct ATAPI info and
cdrecord -v -scanbus dev=ATAPI works but only in 2.6.8. All kernels I
boot show sg and scsi_mod in lsmod......

[root@help rc.d]# grep -r -i scsi_mod *
init.d/iscsi: if ! modprobe iscsi_module ; then
grep: rc0.d/K01yum: No such file or directory
rc0.d/K20iscsi: if ! modprobe iscsi_module ; then
grep: rc1.d/K01yum: No such file or directory
rc1.d/K20iscsi: if ! modprobe iscsi_module ; then
grep: rc2.d/K01yum: No such file or directory
rc2.d/K20iscsi: if ! modprobe iscsi_module ; then
grep: rc3.d/K01yum: No such file or directory
rc3.d/K20iscsi: if ! modprobe iscsi_module ; then
grep: rc4.d/K01yum: No such file or directory
rc4.d/K20iscsi: if ! modprobe iscsi_module ; then
grep: rc5.d/K01yum: No such file or directory
rc5.d/K20iscsi: if ! modprobe iscsi_module ; then
grep: rc6.d/K01yum: No such file or directory
rc6.d/K20iscsi: if ! modprobe iscsi_module ; then
