Hi, thanks much for the -dao tip. I got all disks past the integrity
check and got fedora core 2 installed yesterday. An interesting thing
about -dao with HL-DT-ST drives a warning is returned from cdrecord that
the drive returns the wrong starting address but fortunately cdrecord
corrects the drive.

Option -data is the default and hence not needed. Add -dao which is
for disk-at-once (DAO) mode. A few years ago most CD burners supported
DAO already. Else the default would be TAO (track-at-once) mode which
can result in run-out sectors at the end. With TAO, option -pad should
be added.
