You are right, I just didn't had in mind that the older driver ncr53c8xx
is not build with the Fedora Core 2 kernel. You may fill in a bugzilla
report (RFE) to claim for inclusion of the older driver. It won't help
you if someone builds you the kernel module on FC2, because you won't
get in into the CD.

Btw. the Fedora Core 1 kernels do have the ncr53c8xx module. Maybe you
start with FC1 until a later upgrade?
