You must have tried to run something that requires root access. I see 
those every time I try to open an application that pops up that 
little box asking for the root password. As long as you know who's 
doing it (you) and that they're not trying to crack your system, it's 
no cause for alarm.
  I'm sure someone else might be able to give a better explanation of
what the "uid < 100" requirement actually is, because I can only guess.
