Thanks, Harry. That worked. Installation is down to 1075MB and 2 CDs. I don't think I'm going to get it down to 1 CD since I noticed X fonts being installed from the second CD.
Check the archives of the fedora-minimal list at Simpaticus.com [1] and try to find a list of packages I removed even from a minimal install, that saved me about 120MB. Perhaps some of those will help you.
