See "man mkinitrd" and "man mkboodisk" for ideas. The following come to mind: * If you can boot to a larger floppy (e.g. 1.7 MB), try building a boot disk on one. * Build it for bootable CD-ROM if your computer will boot to CD-ROM. * Try editing down a temporary /etc/modules.conf, throwing out any SCSI host adapters you don't need to boot.
