The key problem here is

I also saw the similar problem with my USB CompactFlash reader. My FC1 can only recognize the CF Reader the 1st time it is connected; after mounting the drive, unmounting it, disconnecting, reconnecting it, FC1 cannot recognize it with the same message as above.
