I tried a google search: pptp "lcp terminated by peer" I found the following website...not sure if it will still be helpful: http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-diagnosis.phtml I saw, "LCP terminated by peer (garbled text)" on this webpage: http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-diagnosis.phtml#lcp_term_garbled It says, "LCP terminated by peer (garbled text) Your pppd could not negotiate encryption. Enable debug logging, try the connection again, and look for rejection packets just prior to this message. Decide what to do based on the rejection packets. See the next two sections below for the most likely causes." I suggest going to this website, try what it suggests, especially the part about enable debug logging to find out why ppp is unhappy, and let us know what you find.
