Sorry for taking so long to respond but I am still getting caught up on 
the list.

I have not tried what you are asking but I have found that starting OOo 
from the command line can show what is going wrong on startup.

I do know that there are differences between the Original OOo versions 
and the Fedora versions that make it hard to solve some problems on the 
OOo list from my experience.
