yes I rebooted after making the change

I am working on another angle

[/sbin/fsck.ext3 (1) -- /] fsck.ext3 /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00
[/sbin/fsck.ext3 (1) -- /boot] fsck.ext3 /dev/sdb1

maybe these need to be repaired.

Delicate op since they are mounted
