Only some guesses here: 1. Try removing: <Directory *> <Limit WRITE> DenyAll </Limit> </Directory> >From your /etc/proftpd.conf file. Then it should match what is mentioned here: http://www.fedoraguide.info/index.php?title=Main_Page#How_to_install_FTP_Server_for_File_Transfer_service Under " How to configure FTP Server to allow anonymous FTP user to read/write". If still no joy try turning off SELinux for a session. If still no joy make sure you have a user "anonymous" and that they are part of the "magnusg" privileged group. Good Hunting!
