No wonder 32-bit plugins don't work then, you need at least 
nspluginwrapper.i386 for them to work.

But I agree that it's not worth installing 32-bit libraries on a 64-bit system 
just to get crappy proprietary plugins to run. I don't even have Flash 
installed on this 32-bit system.
