I installed xsane and it can't see it.

I installed hplib and hplib-gui.    It cannot find the printer, even if
I do a manual find and give it 192.168.1.107.  That address works with
ping and the http (for the print server config page) and with the
printer device itself. 

Any ideas on why hplip won't find it ?
