Our entire history of science and engineering is Open. Understanding the way things work has been the hallmark of our development as a society. Don't forget that.

I wish that lawyers and other such could/would understand that last paragraph. Understanding how things work seems to help the society that supports us. Secrecy, and secrecy in the name of security or safety set us back towards dark ages.
