Are usb headphone generic?

My logitech usb headphone works fine, but I don't know if a generic USB
headphone would work.

I'm wondering if this will work on linux:
http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/speakers/95dd/

My logitech usb headphone does this:
Jun 9 11:50:21 nbecker1 kernel: usb 5-1: new full speed USB device using
uhci_hcd and address 3
Jun  9 11:50:21 nbecker1 kernel: usb 5-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1
choice
Jun 9 11:50:21 nbecker1 kernel: usb 5-1: New USB device found,
idVendor=046d, idProduct=0a01
Jun  9 11:50:21 nbecker1 kernel: usb 5-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1,
Product=2, SerialNumber=0
Jun 9 11:50:21 nbecker1 kernel: usb 5-1: Product: Logitech USB Headset
Jun  9 11:50:21 nbecker1 kernel: usb 5-1: Manufacturer: Logitech

So, it's not clear if this only works recognizing specific devices.
