mine too. when i do unplug mine, i tilt back end up so i can see where to plug
into. 2 are stacked together and it is a pain to have to plug and unplug them.

at one time, i had ups under bench and plug in strips on top behind systems.
then one day, i got to thinking about connections and line loss, so i moved
them up to top of bench.

when i later make changes to bench, i will set them up so i can at least side
them forward for easier access.

years back, during s100 days, i cut a 19" rack in half and bolted then together
at sides. 1 rack was for s100 cabinets and a slide out drawer for testing and
power supplies, other was for 8" voice coil drives and 5.25" mfm drives and gel
cell battery banks.

i built up my power supplies and used gel cells on dc side. no worry about ac
plugs and sockets. inter connecting cables where a little awkward as i use
10 gauge instrument wire for minimal loss and flexibility. it made for some
large wire bundles, but it did work well.

what was neat about it was being able to pull mains and roll them around lab
to where ever i needed. at least as far as long i/o cables where.

i do miss that system. :o(
