i took easy way out. used dvd to install from, but now i have run into
problems.

for some reason i am not able to log in. as both 'root' and 'user', after
entering password, i get kicked back to login prompt. and yes, i wrote down
passwords to be sure i had them correct before my memory kicked in.

i backed up shadow, then cleared :password: for both, but still get kicked
back to login prompt.

suggestions?

new post and thread?
