You might also be interested in the free (but unbelievably slow)software called CloneZilla : http://clonezilla.sourceforge.net/It will clone hd->hd partition->partition local[hd or partition]->remote(on the net)fileimageCheck it out. Cloning windoz is more than just dd'ing the blocks.
