The NVidia supplied drivers stuff up the Xorg installation. If you only ever use theirs, you probably won't notice the problem. But if you ever have to use something else, you will. Then you'll have the fun of removing the NVidia drivers, and restoring Xorg to a proper state. Whereas, if NVidia didn't bugger things up, you'd simply have selected to use a different driver. And whilst you might think you'll only ever use one driver, seeing as most people only have one set of graphics hardware, sometimes you do find it necessary to try another driver, when a problem occurs. You need to take that into consideration before using their drivers. -- [tim@bigblack ~]$ uname -ipr 2.6.23.15-80.fc7 i686 i386 Don't send private replies to my address, the mailbox is ignored.
